My Preemptive Strike dealt less damage than usual, why is that?

There are a lot of factors that go into battle, Preemptive Strike included. If you notice that you are dealing less damage during the Preemptive Strike phase we encourage that you pay attention to the Troops you are attacking. For example, if your opponent has sufficiently higher debuffs than yours, the power of your attacking Troops will be significantly lowered, resulting in less damage. Similarly, if you are attacking a Castle, Sanctuary or any reinforced Structure that includes a large number of low Tier (Tier 1 to 3) Troops compared to your march size, it is possible for the lower Tier Troops to block a large portion of your damage before the main battle phase begins, resulting in Preemptive Strike dealing less damage than the main Battle phase.
