If any of the following criteria are met, you will not be able to shield a Castle using Enormous Shield:
- The target is holding a prisoner
- The target is in a shield exclusion zone created by an enemy Alliance's Ancient Magic
- The target is inside the Forest surrounding any of the Artifact Sanctuaries or Capital during the Capital War event
- The target is performing any hostile actions
- The target's Troops are still returning from a completed hostile action
